I want to create a new layout for our how-to templates (including a 3-column table layout for the steps) but also want to retain the generic how-to template and have instances of both pages list in the how-to index. Is this possible? I'm thinking I can just add the label "kb-how-to-article" to the new template.
If not, if I were to create a new template, does it automatically create an index of pages using that template? Just trying to think ahead to anticipate impacts new templates will have on existing dynamic navigation.
Any input welcome :)
The index page is nothing but macros pre-populated when you first create the page out of some templates
You could copy the Index page and modify the copied page to include information from macros however you need
Hope this is clear
Thanks,
Pramodh
Hi Pramodh, thanks for the reply. Not sure that's the way I want to go as the goal is to keep to 1 index page rather than having a second one. I'll take a look at the macros in the existing index page to see what the settings are.
