Hello - I work for a video game company, so there is a lot of editing of text. Our design department is struggling with making comments and then the author has to come back in and add the edits to the document. Design is hoping for the ability to write edits directly into the text (Like Google docs in edit mode) where the author can then go in and accept/reject/tweak these edits. I've searched for a plug-in, but there doesn't seem to be anything. (We are on the cloud.)
Any suggestions? Not having this option is slowing things way down.
Also - Would it be possible for a contractor to write this as a plug-in? In other words, does Confluence have the capability to handle it?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you!
You don't need an app to use collaborative editing. Just have your people edit the page. If it happens that two or more of them are editing at the same time, you'll see that they can see each other working.
If you set it up so that authors get notified of (other people's) changes, then they can go see the page history if they want to check what has been changed.
What are their needs? I'm not sure I understand what they are looking for?

Hello @adrianne
Do I understand correctly that you want to edit the uploaded files directly in Confluence?
If not, can you please specify what you are trying to edit?

Hello - Thanks for asking. Design needs it to function like track changes, where the editor can come in and make changes, then the writer can accept or reject the changes. T Like this:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Out of the box there is no functionality for what you are describing, perhaps this would suffice:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Thanks, but we are aware of the editing history. Unfortunately, it isn't a very efficient way of going through and either accepting or rejecting an edit suggestion. And going reverting to the old version only works if you want to reject all of the changes.
