How can I make a Parent page non-clickable, instead of it defaulting to be an actual clickable link, because this parent page has no content.
What is the purpose of the parent site if it has no content?
Why isn't the child side moved to another place?
I do not understand the question exactly?
The goal for me is that my parent pages will only be category title pages, with no content. The child pages under the categories will contain the content. Parent Pages will be category separations headers - Android, iOS, Amazon, etc.
Example:
Android - Parent Page/ Category Header w/No Content
Android Operation - Child Page w/Content
Android Creative - Child Page w/Content
Android Submission - Child Page w/Content

Pages only disappear from the overview if they are dragged in the space hierarchy over the main page of space.
Otherwise, you can only remove pages from access (read) if you restrict the restrictions very narrowly to only a certain group or even to a single user.
You should test whether the child's pages are visible to everyone when they are opened.
Another option with regard to the allocation of rights would be to create a separate space for each category instead of individual headers.

Not suggest to do restriction on parent, on you restrict, child will effect too
