Hello.
I'm sure that I knew the answer to this one years ago.
Moving from hosted Confluence, to Cloud.
Previously, I hit my domain with https://invalid.com/confluence. But I stupidly pre-empted myself and transferred invalid.com to a new provider, so that I could start to set up mail aliases in preparation for the shutdown of my primary mx.
Obviously, now I can't get to my Confluence instance. I did try a redirect on the new registrar's DNS dashboard, and forwarded
https://invalid.com --> to my domain.
Then I try https://invalid.com/confluence and it does bring up the login page, but when I enter my credentials, goes straight back to 'you look to be new around here..'
I can't hit it internally with the server's IP.
Just need it a few more times, to export my spaces and get ready to move to Cloud.
Any help appreciated.
Welcome to the Community!!
Don't you have access to the backend server where the confluence application is running?
You can change the relevant settings in DB
Example for the Base URL reference here

Let me know if you have any queries

Thanks Pramodh.
I thought this would be in one of the flat files in $CONFLUENCEHOME. This is Confluence 5.7. Is that relevant?

No in DB!! @voyagesdedavid
The configuration related information are all stored in DB
You need to change that in order to take effect
As I have already provided the example, please refer

What do I set it to, considering that the domain name invalid.com no longer directs to my server here?
I also have access to DNS but creating an A record isn't working to direct to the Confluence instance.
