Hi,
I'm looking to use a Space within Confluence as a means of communicating project progress to the rest of the business. The key here is that it needs to come to them (because they will not come to it).
I've set up a Blog for this, thinking that we could just add the RSS feed into the Outlooks of those users who are interested.
I've tested this myself and it works, though not ideal, it meets our needs,
But, rolling it out to a select few users (who are not Confluence users), yields HTTP 401s and Outlook (2007) refuses, claiming "Authorisation required". Accessing the RSS link itself through a browser on said user's computer also yields the same 401 result.
I've taken care to give Anonymous Read permissions on that Space.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Nathan
You most likely need to give anonymous access to the site in the global permissions. Here is a document on how to set up anonymous access.

Thanks Brant.
I can confirm that this was already the case:
So this didn't solve the issue.

(Sorry, forgot to state the obvious in that last reply)

Are you hosted in the cloud or on server? Where are you getting the RSS feed link from?

We're Server users.
We're getting the link from the Space > Configure Space > Content Tools > RSS Feeds > Blog option.
It looks like this:
Looking at that link, it has the os_authType=basic query string parameter. Could this be what's going wrong?
It's annoying because even in "porn mode/icognito mode" my browsers (Chrome/Edge) both work. It's only not working on my users' machines who are NOT Confluence users.

Just tested on our site that is public and had users not in confluence test and it is not an issue. Everything you have provided matches what I have.
Are you hosting on Windows? Do you have a proxy setup?
