I'm trying to Restore a Space I have and get the following error:

I've restored other spaces all without issue, but this one - even after clean up, has repeated itself. Nothing Shows up in the log file.

Import failed. Check your server logs for more information. com.atlassian.confluence.importexport.ImportExportException: Unable to complete import because the data does not match the constraints in the Confluence schema. Cause: MySQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: Duplicate entry 'Dev' for key 'UK_jp1ad5yufsih5r7lqrygakpug'

Hello Kevin,

Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you.

Can you let me know which version of Confluence the export is coming from, and what your target version is?

Can you confirm that there is no space in your target instance that might share the same space key or name?

When you say that you performed a cleanup, can you let me know which steps you took exactly? You can review the following page for information on how to do a manual clean up from the database:

In addition, have you checked your server logs per the error message? You may find more specific details about why the import is failing.

Regards,

Shannon

Faced the same problem.

I performed a manual cleanup from the database as instructed

After a failed space import, it's not possible to re-import because of leftover space data

the problem is still relevant

Confluence 6.12.1

db - mysql

Hello Marat,

Did you also try the first solution, to visit the URL directly of the space and try to delete it there? The article says even if you can't see the space from the space directory, you might be able to delete it from the UI:

<confluence base url>/spaces/removespace.action?key=<space key>

Failing that, I would recommend that you raise a ticket with our Confluence Support team and we can have a look and help you out.

Regards,

Shannon
