We've had some instances recently where Confluence performance has been significantly impacted by people accidentally selecting the Normal Export option to export an entire Space to PDF rather than the Custom Export option.
Is there a way to remove/disable the Normal Export option and just leave the Custom Export option available or to have the default option selected as Custom instead of Normal ?
Welcome to the community @Nicholas Tye !
You can't disable/remove export Normal option. However, the best practise would be to NOT allow everyone the space export permission instead only give that permission to a few people who actually knows its impact.
The normal users can just use single page exports (anyone who can view a page can also export it).
Thanks for the response @Sayed Bares [ServiceRocket]
We do have restricted permissions to the export feature and people do know the impact that a full space export can have - but we're human and do make mistakes at times !
Would be great if Atlassian could consider a change in a future version to make Custom Export the default option and therefore require a positive action to do the full space export. Not sure how to go about raising or requesting that though.
