Running Confluence Version 8.5.20 on Redhat Verision 8.5

Customer is currently using Widget and Gadgets that will not work on Version 9.

Since Version 8.5.20 will no longer will be supported  after August 2025, here is the question.

Customer wants to know the best Version of 8.x to run that will have longer term support and will still work with Macros and Gadgets. 

Looked at Version 8.9.8. However last update to 8.9.8  was Nov 2024.

This older version may not have latest Security updates.

The previous LTS is 8.5.20 with end of life set to 22th August 2025 so it will be updated until that date (https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/atlassian-support-end-of-life-policy-201851003.html).

Is the Markeplace app going to be an additional cost to the customer.

Have you heard of anyone using this Marketplace app with success/failure
