Hello, I am using Confluence Cloud and the search does not work at all.
It does not matter if I use quick-search or the advanced search, it returns mostly no results.
Here is what I have tried:
- When I search for the exact title of a page, without any filters - I get not results
- When I search for the exact title of a page using the "search in titles only" filter, I get the correct result
- When I search for a term which is included in several page titles - for some terms I get no results, for some I get some of the pages, but never more than 50% of what I should get
- Searching for labels or text within a page or any full text search does not work at all and returns no results.
Is there anything I can do? Without the possibility to search, confluence would be pretty useless to me.
Thanks
Hi,
Not sure I can help but I've recently created a new account for my project and am encountering this indexing issue. When I try to search for keywords like 'kpc_media' where I have an underscore, the search fails completely.
I hope you will address this. Currently, the only thing that works for me is the Okami chatGPT app, where you can query anything you want, and it handles symbols such as underscores and dashes. However, as I understand from the developers of this amazing extension, it still relies on Confluence indexing. I hope this issue will be resolved soon.
@Peter Rack @Ernest So , if this information helps, you can read more about it here, in this article
here is the extension
We have same problem here....

Did you manage to resolve the issue somehow? Atlassian does not seem to care, and with something such basic as search not working.....

Some of our users are facing this issue. We are still investigating the problem.

Hello @Ernest So, @Peter Rack,
I'm not sure if you've attempted to get in touch with us outside of this case, but my apologies we weren't able to address this sooner with you. I'm very sorry for how this has been affecting your workflows!
I'm aware of an issue a few days ago that we were encountering degraded search performance, but it has been resolved since then:
It's not likely this was the same issue you were encountering, since you both reported your issues back on May 14th/15th. If you're still encountering the problem, let's investigate further.
We will need to investigate further on your site to know why search isn't working properly for you. I can confirm I don't encounter the same issues on my Cloud sites, so it may be an issue specific to some sites.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Shannon

Hey @Peter Rack, @Ernest So,
I'm a developer at Kiri and we created this Search Engine integration for Confluence cloud which isn't publicly listed on the app store just yet but you can learn more about it on our website: https://kiri.ai/. Check it out and let us know if it helps you!
All the best,
Ramon
