Some Emojis Added to Action Items are Converted to Stars in Task Report - Is this expected?

I have an action item that I wanted to visually flag for myself, because I'm blocked from completing it until an issue gets resolved. So I had the brilliant idea to add a red flag emoji (:flag_on:) to the action item so it would show up on my task report & I'd know why it's past its due date.

But on the Task Report side, it pulled through as a blue star. Did a little bit of testing with other "productivity" emojis & some of the emojis pull through normally and others don't. But it seems like the red flag would be a really useful one. Just wondering if this might be a bug or if there's some explanation for the behavior that I'm unaware of.

This is a bug.

They are, understandably, all low-priority issues. :) 

Thanks for the info, David! I will resist my natural impulse to add emojis every third character.
