Hi,
I'm getting notifications (not emails, I found an option to turn that off) from pages that I created at some point but that I am not watching. How can I stop getting those notifications?
Hi @Florian Martin As I understand you are the creator of a page and are receiving notifications for any changes on that page though you are not watching it anymore. I couldn't find enough documentation on how to stop such notifications. This can be easily solved by changing the creator of the page, but currently it is not possible and there is a feature request raised for it, you can vote and start watching it for updates.
Changing the creator of the page is possible on server/DC instance by performing database changes. You can try - Export pages from cloud -> import in server -> perform DB changes -> export server pages -> import in cloud to change the creator of the page. Refer this thread for more details.
Alternatively, you can ask new owner to copy the page you created and delete the old one. You can even write a REST API to do this if the number of pages is huge.
Hope this helps.
Hi @Kishan Sharma,
unfortunately, we're not using Confluence Server or DC. But thank you for the hint with the feature request!
This would still require someone being willing to receive these notifications, but maybe a deactivated user can also be assigned otherwise.
So as far as I understand the current situation, there is no solution for the cloud case. Thank you for giving these details!

I've got the same problem, I'm getting notifications about pages I authored 2 years ago while in a different team/role. I don't need to know about them getting updated, and even though I've unwatched them, I'm still getting notifications about them.
It's a bit of a pain TBH

Hi @Florian Martin,
Is it possible that you are watching the space which contains the pages? That would still give you notifications even if the pages themselves are not watched.
Best,
Jacob

Hi @Jacob Brunson,
then it should be listed in Settings -> Watches -> Space Watches, right? But only my own space is listed there.
Edit:
Come to think of it, is there something like an administrator setting that overwrites regular users' settings?

Hi @Florian Martin ,
by default Confluence will add a page author as a watcher. It's called Autowatch, you can turn this off in your profile, in the Email settings section : https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/watch-pages-spaces-and-blogs-139579.html#:~:text=other%20notification%20options-,By%20default%2C%20Confluence%20will%20assign%20you%20as%20a%20watcher%20of,section%20of%20your%20user%20profile.
Let me know if this helps,

thank you for the timely response. But unfortunately, this does not solve my problem. I turned off autowatch and I actively unwatched the pages that I created quite a while ago (just checked - it is still not checked and the pages are not watched). Nonetheless, if somebody changes something on these pages, I receive an unwanted notification. As I created a lot of page stubs for other people to edit, this makes it hard/time-consuming to filter out the notifications that are actually relevant.
