Table Excerpt include returns an error

Elena Kondrashova October 18, 2022

Hi all,

Looking for support for the following issue.

I have three pages: page A, page B, page C.

My goal is to add "Table excerpt" macro on Page B and C, wrap "Excellentable" inside of  each Table excerpt macro.

Then on page A use "Table excerpt include" in different sections, and pull "Excelletable" tables from page B and C via the Table excerpt macro.

Problem: It works for page A/B - I see a table from page B on my page A. But when I try to pull the table from page C, it gives me an error on page A (see SS).

I am not sure what is the reason for that, I am following exactly same steps as for pages A/B.

Any ideas?

Hi @Elena Kondrashova ,

Please check how you collect the Excerpt from the page C - I guess by its title? Make sure that your Table Excerpt Include macro points to the right page.

And also check the name of the Excerpt on the C page for typos, extra spaces, etc. The names in the Table Excerpt Include and Table Excerpt macros should match.

Hi @Katerina Kovriga _Stiltsoft_ Thank you for your response! Yes, I have double checked that in "Excerpt table include" macro in field "Page title" I am referring to a correct page C, and in "Excerpt name" I am referring to a correct name on "Excerpt table" macro of page C, no typos or extra spaces.

Then I can suggest raising a support request.

If you have Server/Data Center, please specify the version of the app (the current one is 9.4.0, if yours is an older one, please update not to lose new features and fixes).

For Cloud it is not relevant, your add-on will be always up-to-date.

Then attach two page storages: for the A page and for the problem C page. Go to the upper right corner -> menu ... -> View storage format. If you don't see this option, ask your Confluence administrator to do it for you.

Using the storage, our support team will be able to recreate exactly your pages with macros and their settings and look into the issue closely. The customer portal is based on the Jira Service Desk and is confidential.
