Take up a lot of memory after the backup starts

HI guys 

  when i started    confluence  backup ,i found  my machine take up a lot of memory .

there are some  errors and   long running tasks

Hi @lzx 

Are you using xml backups? Note that for large instances, xml backups are not recommended and cannot be relied on.

Even if you have scheduled xml backup, it should be disabled to avoid performance problems.

The recommended backup strategy would be to use db backups with install & home directories backed up.

There are not many users of confluence. I set up the xml backup at 2 o'clock in the morning. Since the backup, the memory usage rate has been very high until the 16:30 pm. I checked the log and found that the backup task at 4 o'clock in the morning is over. Is there any good solution? What information do you need?

@lzx  , It is not about the load on the confluence at the time but about the large content. I would never rely on xml backup for production.

The error logs given in the question doesnt have much details to troubelshoot
