Hey there,
in confluence we have single pages for all our projects. During our meetings we open a new page for the meeting notes and start writing tasks due to the projects. Our plan is to write all the tasks for different projects in the meeting note page (one page per meeting) and let confluence show the project specific tasks on the right project page.
Example:
Meeting notes
[] write report for project a
[] call customer for project b
[] sell product project c
Page of Project a
[] write report
Page of Project b
etc.
We already tried the task report makro, but that does not fullfill the task. It can only show all the task of one page and not filter the page and filter the task for the right project.
Does anybody have a solution for this?
Hey @Tobias Wagner ,
do you use Jira in your organization? With Jira you have more filter options. Maybe there is a way to use the app "Viable Issues" to create tasks fast and consistently the right tasks and use the filter macro to search/show it on the right Confluence page.
Is there a way? We can definitely discuss this together if you'd like.
thanks for your answer. As I discovered today we already had the automation rules, but I could not see them, because I had no admin access. So now I could start building our own automation rule for that, but for that I could need some help as well.

Hi @Tobias Wagner ,
I am not the automation expert, but I can try to help you. If you´d like it, we can make a short call and I will invest 30 minutes to find a way for your automation rule. Is that okay for you?
If yes, you can contact me via LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/florian-schneider-workplace/

thx for your offer. I worked my way through the automation yesterday and realised that unfortunately it doesn't work the way we want it to. Obviously we would need jira to solve our problem, because in confluence you can't set individual tags (so one for each task on the same page), only entire pages can be labelled.

Hi @Tobias Wagner and welcome to the Community
What is it that you are lacking when it comes to the task report?
Optionally you could add a specific label (i.e "project_actions") for the this type of meeting notes to be used in the task report to distingush these actions from other actions on other pages.

Hey @Staffan Redelius and thank you
The problem is that I cant assign one task to one project - if there are many task for different projects on one meeting note page. I can only assign a task to a person, not a project.
I tried to create a team like you mentioned. But there is no option for me when clicking the ... next to the project in the left bar. There is only Editing, Rename, Marking, Copy Link, Moving, Automate, Archiving and Delete.

Okay, I found the option. This is not suitable for us, because one team has several projects. We want to have a "messy meeting note" with all information we discussed in that meeting and all the tasks we created in there. The macro then should display the, for the project itself, specific tasks on its already existing project page.

Could you share a print screen of your sidebar in Confluence? It should look like this if you are on the new layout

Welcome @Tobias Wagner
Have you tried the automation rules with the action to write the content to the correct project page?

Thank you very much. Seems like our company has no license to use the automation rules etc. Any other solution with the "normal macros" or so?

Normal macros - the closest one was the one you have mentioned, the other third party apps I can think of is ScriptRunner. It is a paid app, but it has the option for automation.
