Team calendars does not seem to be honoring the timezone selection, and other issues.

Troy Barry November 4, 2022

Setting up a team calendar for the first time.

I selected NYC timezone -0400 (which I thought would have been -0300 (from my pacific timezone)), but maybe it's from GMT?

When I create an appointment from my location in pacific time the person on the east coast sees it an hour later. Example:

I create an appointment for 9 AM ET, it shows up on their calendar as 10 AM ET (an hour later).

I tried switching to a different timezone (one with -0300), but I still have the exact same issue.

Hi @Troy Barry

There is an open bug for the specific problem you are referring to:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-48595

Click vote and watch to receive updates, since this bug is on the short term backlog.

I guess this is the same? It is unclear to me as I am creating the events directly in Team Calendar, and NOT importing events. They are natively created.

@Troy Barry I can't be 100% sure, but it seems that your problem and the one I mention relates to each other. In addition, on the specific issue I mention, there is another related issue https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-72744 which is about updating event time. Imh I would assume that the overall calendar timezone needs some fixes..

Thank you. I up voted them anyway.
