When I create a UML Sequence diagram with the Mermaid plugin, the diagram is rendered with empty space covering several rows (padding) below the image. This can be misleading for viewers/readers, as it appears that the document has ended, whereas there is more text following the diagram.
Is there a way to configure the plugin to remove the padding or perhaps some annotation that I can use within each diagram to force-remove any padding below/following the image.

Could you please clarify which Mermaid plugin you are using?

We are using the Mermaid diagrams for Confluence plugin.
Here is a screenshot showing the name of the plugin and a diagram with padding below it:
