URL to create comments section of a confluence page

Keith Miller June 9, 2020

I just tried to post this question but it appears to have disappeared.

Is there a URL that I could use to go directly to the create comment box of any confluence page?

Also is there a way I could pre-populate the start of the comment?

@Keith Miller

With the string

?ShowComments=true&showCommentArea=true#addcomment

appended to the regular URL of the page, you can jump directly to comment and open an editing field.

Two follow on questions:

  1. Is there a way to pre-populate the comment?   I'd like to imbed these links into a presentation and would like to populate the start of the comment with the slide name so I understand where the commenter  came from i.e. "Slide1: "
  2. Is there a way to have the link position the target wiki page at the comments?  currently the positioning is at the top of the target and the opened comments are below and might require scrolling

No to both questions.
At least not with the standard functionality of confluence.
Possibly with third-party apps, your own apps or user macros.
