Unable to add event in confluence cloud page

Hi,

We see that we are not able to add event in confluence cloud page. The calendar has been added to page and in the page we are unable to add events.

Or its only possible to do via team calendars?

Regards,
Suma

Hi @ibm_kustagi_mercedes-benz_com  (Suma), welcome to Atlassian community.

The calendar macro on your Confluence page is designed to display the calendar and its events. To add or manage events, you interact with the calendar functionality that the macro embeds or links to.

You might have already tried below, if not, it's good to start:

  • Directly on the Confluence Page: If your calendar macro is configured to allow it, you might be able to click directly on a date within the embedded calendar view to open a quick event creation dialog.
  • Full Calendar View: The most reliable way is to go to the full Team Calendars view. When you have a Team Calendars macro on a page, there's usually a way to click through to the full calendar, often by clicking the calendar title or an "Open Calendar" link.
  • Once you're in the full calendar interface, you can typically: Click on a specific date to open the "Create Event" dialog >> Click a "Create event" button

Yes you will need Team Calendars. It is available in Confluence Premium and above subscriptions:
https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/create-add-and-edit-calendars

However, looks like you have this as you are able to add the calendar macro on the Confluence page.
Make sure you have selected the name of the calendar that you want to pull into the macro and update the page.

Once the calendar is visible on the page, double click on any of the dates to pop up the event window and then proceed.

Could be related to permissions. As you can see the calendar on the page, you seem to have the view permission for the calendar and the space it originated from.

However please confirm if you also have edit rights to the calendar.
Go to Team Calendars -> click on (...) ->Restrictions

Check if you have edit rights on this calendar:
