Unable to create template in Space

Hello,

We are using confluence and we do not have the option to create templates in our space. We have tried admin user, or any other user but with no success. The Tab simply does not appear.

Great question and you'll need to do some digging in the space setting to find this functionality.  

To create templates in your space, you would do so through the Space Setting screen located in the menu on the left.  In that screen you'll want to go to the Content Tools tab where you'll see a Create New Template Button.

Hi @Andrew Kendris , Thank you for your reply.
I fount the same documentation but when i go into space settigns -> content tools We don't have the templates tab. Even with an admin account.
What can be the issue?

Do you have other tabs missing in your Space Settings toolbar? Are admins able to create global templates and blueprints from the Settings --> Global Templates and Blueprints?

Upon further investigation, it might be because you don't have Space Admin rights.  

Confluence administrators aren't necessarily space administrators. In order for them to be a space admin, they must belong to a group which has space admin and view permission for the space, or their username must be specifically granted space admin and view permission for the space.

If you don’t know who the Space Administrator is, navigate to the space list in Confluence then click the on the Overview Tab and at the bottom of “Space Details”, you will see the list of administrators.

Thank you very much for you r answer, We've noticed that the creator of the space is no longer working with us thus we don't have an admin to the space.
