Unable to edit "old" pages after upgrading to 7.1.2

Ganiman January 30, 2020

Since upgrading from 6.x to 7.1.2 we are unable to edit pages created prior to the upgrade. New pages can be created and edited.

This is what I see in the log when a user tries to edit a page:

I have tried repairing the ancestors table which seemed to be a solution for a similar problem, but that did not work. Does anyone know anything else we might be able to try to "repair" these "old" pages?

Synchrony Interop Bootstrap plugin under General Configuration > Add-ons > All has corrected this issue for me.

This is usually caused by a plugin issue.   I would suggest cleaning the plugin cache (How to clear Confluence plugins cache).

I have tried this and it did not work. I continue to get the message:

Unable to edit

Editing is unavailable right now. Try again in a few minutes.

Do you have collaborative editing turned on?

Ganiman February 3, 2020

I don't see Collaborative Editing under General Configuration in the admin panel, which is where I think it is supposed to be.

I found Collaborative Editing under the Apps config. When I try to enable it, I get spammed with:

Something went wrong

Please try again.

Glad we were able to confirm that it was a plugin issue.
