Hi,
I have new cloud demo site created. I have problem with insertion of macro into edited page using '{' shortcut. It works fine in default home page, but when I create new blank page typing '{' doesn't have any effect - macro selector is not displayed.
Thanks a lot for any hint

Hi Martin,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community. Happy to have you here :)
If I understand your case, you created your Atlassian site not so far ago. If it's correct, then you use the new Confluence editor by default to create and manage your pages. So, the shorcut is no longer '{' but '/'. In fact, when you hit '/' in a Confluence page, you can enter the name of the macro you want to insert.
Please, see below the documentation regarding Confluence editig improvements: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/confluence-editing-improvements-945107733.html.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks.
Boris
Hi Boris,
thanks a lot for the prompt answer. The '/' opens nice menu with macros, but there are not all macros available, for example "anchor". Still is there question how is it possible that it works as expected for default home page but not for my newly created pages? Is there any possibility to define preferred editor?

Hi Martin,
The anchor macro is unavailable for Confluence new editor, for the moment (see Confluence Editing Improvements). In fact, this is what they say about that:
The anchor macro is temporarily unavailable, but there are two workarounds for this:
Add a table of contents macro to your page, as this automatically generates anchor links for each page header.
To find those links, right-click (or on mobile, long-press) any of the headers in the table of contents, and copy the link address.Anchors are automatically generated for each page header.
To link to one, use the https://pageURL#headingtext.The anchor text must be formatted as it is on the page, including punctuation marks, but without spaces. For example, to link to this section, we would add #Anchors to the page URL, like so: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/ConfCloud/Confluence+Cloud+Editor+Roadmap#Anchors
For your question regarding the fact that the old shortcut for macro works for the home page, I unfortunately have no idea. I would advise you to contact the Atlassian support here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/. They could tell you more about that.
About your last question, unfortunately, it is not possible to choose the editor. But you can contact the Atlassian support each time you will have a bug on the new version so that thez could help you more efficiently.
Hope this will help :)
Thanks
Boris
