Hello,
with the new navigation there is the "Home" section, which is well structured. So far we have our own homepage. The term Home for the dashboard causes confusion, can it be renamed?
We would also like to expand the elements of Home with our own navigation and news section or integrate the personalized elements (e.g. calendar) on our home page. Is that possible?
Greetings
Marco
Hello @Marco Bohmbach ! As I understand, your team has its Home page, and having the new Home page named as “Home page” creates confusion. You also need to apply some changes to the new Home page in Confluence Cloud.
As of today, it is not possible to deeply customize what is or what is not shown within the Home page nor rename it.
You can check more details about the new Home page and the New Navigation here:
I have one question:
- When you mention that “So far we have our own homepage”, is that a Space Home Page or a Site Home Page?
If you are talking about a Site Home Page, you should still be able to use it as your site Home page by following this:
If you set up a Space page as your site Home page, you will be able to configure as desired.
Looking forward to your reply!
Hi, thanks for your answer.
Yes, we have a Site Home Page and it is working but in the navigation the new "Home" is, in our opinion, misleading. We think "Dashboard" would be a better fit. Sadly, we can't rename it.
Another idea would be to combine our Site Home Page with the new "Home". For this it would be nice to a) reuse the Macros from "Home" in a Site Home Page or b) to Customize "Home".
Examples:
a) show the starred spaces from the user on our site home page
b) add a news section or specified navigation to "Home"
Is it clearer now?
Thanks,
Marco
