Confluence 6.6.3 (recently updated from 5.10)

I have a user who cannot view or edit pages properly. He is an admin of his space, and when he views a page, he doesn't see the content:

Normal View Mode:

His View Mode:

Normal Edit Mode:

His Edit Mode:

His edit mode doesn't switch the URL over to "editpage.action?" when it is supposed to, but it is still trying to render as edit mode. When you send him the correct "editpage.action?" URL he is able to edit and save the page normally, but as soon as he clicks edit again he's back to seeing the buggy screens.

Hi Heth,

It looks like some screen shots didn't render properly in your description. I wouldn't mind seeing them if you can re-post.

Please try the following "low hanging fruit":

  1. Clear the browser cache or us a browser that has never tried to edit the page
  2. Edit the page in the "clean" browser and let us know if it works.
  • Try logging into his computer with someone's ID who is not affected by the issue and see if it works for them on his machine.
  • Make sure the affected user is accessing the instance using the configured Base URL

I look forward to hearing what you find.

Thanks,

Ann

So we tried all that. He also logged in as himself on another machine, and that worked, then when he went to go log into his regular machine it fixed itself.

Not sure what happened, but I'm going to assume it was a browser issue and we can ignore this now.
