Variables in Templates Appear Blank

When creating a new template, I have added a list variable to a hidden page properties table. This appears correctly when editing the template, but when I create an instance of the template the field appears as blank.

My Confluence site was recently updated to the latest editing experience (fabric).

This is the view when I create the template

And this is the view when I make an instance of the template. No variables are visible to fill in.

Tested this in my own Cloud instance...when i set the variable in the Template it changes in color from Grey to green

It looks like you're using the old editor. My templates are created with the new editor (fabric) and they're not changing color, even when I create a variable outside of the page properties table.

Went back and double checked, you are correct it looks like the Templates in my instance still use the old editor despite having the new editor in the spaces
