WHere is Details side panel under Connections on a Confluence page?

In my release track for Confluence for next month there was this release note:

But having trouble locating "Connections" and "Details" on my confluence page in sandbox?  Anyone have a screenshot or point me in the direction where this feature lives?

Hi Dam,

That's an older iteration of Confluence.  Now on the right bottom it's only the AI button.

However I did find it, it's now up in the top left corner of the page:

Atlassian moving the "cheese" again.

Thanks...

Wait. Am I wrong? Are Dam's screenshots from an old version of Confluence?

I've never seen the Floating Action Bar.

I think this is something new, related to the Live Docs Beta.

@Dam are you in that beta? Maybe that's why you're seeing the new stuff.

Based on the 11/Apr/2025 creation date of CONFCLOUD-81392 - Allow individual users to hide or reposition the floating action bar in the new Confluence content layout I think that yeah, this might actually be new, @Susan Hauth _Jira Queen_ .

Great. More cheese-moving.

Maybe they've slowed the rollout because of bugs like these:

CONFCLOUD-81543

Inline comments are no longer visible on the floating action bar

CONFCLOUD-81323

Missing features in New Navigation layout

some of the features missing out are:

  1. View Source
  2. Hide related content
  3. View Storage Format
CONFCLOUD-81361

Apps option not present for Blogs in Confluence New navigation Content layout

(Oh right - that's probably the apps thing I found before: Status page: Live docs + Marketplace apps )

Hi @Susan Hauth _Jira Queen_

You can find the detail icon on the right bottom corner of a page:

Screenshot 2025-04-19 at 15.01.40.png

and then when you click on it :

Screenshot 2025-04-19 at 15.02.24.png

you can see much more details and the linked Jira work items ;)

I hope this helps.

Ohey @Chu Dam - thanks for the screenshots!

I was looking for the same thing as @Susan Hauth _Jira Queen_ because it was in our May 12, 2025 release notes (I'm on Bundled) and I am not seeing this new Details side panel on my Sandbox instance that is both 1) on the new Navigation, 2) on the Preview Track.

I finally found the documentation for this whole new "floating action bar", which, what the heck. Where did this come from?

The top of that page says:

This program of improvements is currently in Beta and subject to change. Learn more about:

Well GEE, that's comforting. I especially like the part where Atlassian REDOES the "More actions (...)" menu:

Before:

After:

And... OMG, because these changes can screw up various Marketplace apps...

Users can opt out of the content layout changes by... submitting a support request?

COME ON Atlassian. You're rolling out TWO UI/UX changes at the same time?

Read all about it here:

to be honest... each one of my customer's platforms have a different UI... each one of my own platform have a different UI... in Jira and Confluence... it's a bit of a mess I would say but that's the way it is now I guess

private beta, public beta, rolling changes... i'm lost most of the time and i stopped digging to understand what Atlassian is doing or planning cause it's time consuming and my time is valuable so I'm just focusing bringing values to my customer, and ignoring these beta programs and all cause it's too much of a headache 😃

When a new UI is here, then a new UI is here, that's it 🤣
