[solved] We want to export a backup of another team's wiki/jira, can we import it as an Archive?

We want to export another team's confluence/jira as we will be taking over their projects/products, we have our own brand new installation of jira/wiki and we want to retain root to be clean.  Can we do an import and have it automatically be set to Archive to be referenced down the line, but not convolute our fresh installation?

No, an import of everything will effectively duplicate the old system.

But you can selectively import projects and spaces without inheriting all the other stuff.
