Where to use/write CQL in the Confluence UI to get a list of pages?

Hello,

In short: I'm looking of the equivalent of https://COMPANY.atlassian.net/issues/?jql=QUERY

I'd like to search for pages using CQL and get a list of pages, what is the quickest way to do this?

Ideally I'd like to do this within the normal Confluence UI.

Also, is there a list of places where we can use CQL, for example I think you can use it within automations or through API, where else?

Thanks,
JG

Howdy,

There is a UI that inadvertently lets you test CQL.

Using Confluence Automation, build a rule, add a Branch rule / related entities thingie.

This accepts CQL and has a Validate query button under your query line.

Click the Valid query...  link.

The result set opens in a separate tab in the Search interface.

Clunky? Yes, but it gets you out of a jam.

Cheers,

It is a creative approach, I must admit. Not the most intuitive, but does the job without an additional app.

Thanks a lot @Peter Quick

This also brings you to https://COMPANY.atlassian.net/wiki/search?cql=QUERY which seems to work!

There is no built-in UI for this, but there is an app to fill the gap: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213090/cql-search?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

It works great and it used to be free (now paid).

Thanks Aron,

So sad, and hard to believe that the product team did not think this as a must have feature...
