Whether an image of the directories and files that can be retrieved

Jin Yan January 31, 2022

Hi,

I would like to know if the list of directories within a confluence space has a change history? There were some accidental changes made by moving around some files to new directories and I would like to recover, for example, how the directories look like two weeks ago?

Thanks!

@Jin Yan unfortunately the page history and page information only tells you about changes to the page content, not the structure. If Page 1 was under Page A, but then someone dragged that page to be under Page B, you would have no way of knowing where it originated.

That sounds like the dilemma you are facing here. Please confirm if I am correct.

Yes, that's the situation I am facing. Thank you for your reply!

Hi @Jin Yan

Can you specify how users moved the files around?  Are you using a specific macro?

Regards

Jin Yan January 31, 2022

Hi @Fabian Lim no macro has been used. Moving around files was just dragging files from the current directory to another subfolder or moving pages within a subfolder to another directory.

Have you tried looking at the page history? Hopefully it tracks the files you changed through the versions.

Yes, I've looked at the page history, it only shows the editing history/versions, not where it exists.
