I have a whiteboard with various elements on it: Sticky notes, text boxes, squares, circles, etc. For some users, the text in the boxes or sticky notes or anywhere does not appear.
I created a couple test whiteboards, one in the same space and one in a different space. They get the same behavior: No text.
Any suggestions why this is happening to some users and not others?
Hi @Gerald Byrne and welcome to the Community. When you add text boxes and enter text....are you selecting text color that contrasts with the background color of your whiteboard (like black text on a white background)? Have you tried bringing your text box to the front (CTRL + ] )?
hm. also found this little nugget. Are you using the Chrome browser? https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-questions/Re-How-do-I-stop-sticky-note-text-disappearing-in-whiteb/qaq-p/2936272/comment-id/334026#M334026

Thank you Laurie.
The text is black on light colored background and everything is brought to front.
The problem described in the linked question is very similar to what my users are experiencing. Differences:
- I created the whiteboard and many of the objects (stickies, boxes, text boxes). I can see all text just fine. So can most other users.
- Some users do not see text until they click on an object, as described by Rebecca, but some users do not see the text even after clicking an object. :/
- Users report the same behavior in Chrome and Edge. :(
I have tried in both Chrome and Edge, but cannot reproduce the issue...works fine for me.
