Why is my Table of content showing up in edit view but then when I publish, nothing is there?

Kim Lange October 17, 2018

I added in the table of contents macro and I can see it and then I save and it isn't there?

Your headings have to be in one of the font sizes from the dropdown on the top left at the top of the page. Heading 1, heading 2, etc.

So above each section, like where you say "Images" change that to Heading 1, or 2, or whatever size you want. You'll have to do that to each heading for it to show up.

Hi @Kim Lange,

could you please show us the source of your page? Without further information, it is hard to say something reasonable about the problem.

What is the source of the page?

Did you change some settings of the toc-macro?

Kim Lange October 17, 2018

No, I left everything as default

list, disc, no indent, min heading 1, max heading 7, n/a in include/exclude headings, n/a css and not checked absolute.

This sounds like standard settings. Is the toc working on other pages?

There must be something on your page preventing the toc to work correctly. Do you have the source editor? It's a great plugin to find some of these bad hidden things on Confluence pages.

Maybe you could try to copy the content of the page within the editor and paste it to another page.
