I have an editor and staff Comala Workflow (server version) setup on pages. Before, when I would edit a page, the page would stay in "Draft" mode until I transitioned it to "Ready". Now, it's auto-transitioning directly to "Ready" whenever an edit is made. I'm not sure what happened to cause this, can anyone help?
If I put "?admin=true" at the end of the URL, I can transition it back to draft, so the state is still there.
Thanks!
Lynne
Hi @Lynne Randolph , if you open the mark-up editor, it should have the following state:
{state}
{state:Published|final=true|rejected=Reviewed|updated=Ready|hideselection=true}
{state}
If your 'updated' goes to Ready, then you'll want to edit it to be Draft. That should sort out the issue. The 'Ready' is the default that comes pre-loaded into Workflows whenever a page is edited, no matter the state.
Hopefully this resolves your issue!
Awesome, thanks, that worked! I also changed to rejected=Draft on the Ready and Reviewed state. I'm still trying to decide if it should be that on Published too, but we'll see.
Now if I could only not have to remove and reapply the workflow when it changes in the server configuration settings. At first I thought the change didn't work, I wish the page level workflows would not make their own copies. A global site workflow is also not great since you often have pages where reviewing them doesn't make sense.

@Lynne Randolph glad that sorted it.
Some users choose to deploy their Global workflows with labels, so that only the pages with the specified label get that workflow applied it. Might not be a fit for your case, but you can learn more here: https://wiki.comalatech.com/display/CWL/Space+mode+workflow+application (it refers to Space labels, but generally the same rules apply to Global workflows).

Oh, that looks like it would work great for us. Thanks for the added pointer!
