One of the features we would love in Confluence is to use it to edit Word docs, but natively
All the options at the minute (and there are some good ones) require connections into SharePoint. This makes it more difficult to share content with 3rd Parties - unless it is a Confluence article already and we export as PDF.
But this creates multiple versions and means we don't have a live, single point of truth
Hi @Max Haley ,
as @Dave Mathijs said, there's no solution at the moment. In the past Atlassian supported Companion app (https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/edit-office-files-724765124.html) but it was discontinued from 31 March 2022.

Hi @Max Haley , at the moment, there's no native solution for this. I completely agree that inline editing should be made possible without having to download the attachment and upload the new version again.

I can't seem to find any updates on this topic. Without inline editing, I am going to have to start looking at alternatives. Since we moved to the cloud, this has been greatly missed by our teams. I have been trying to wait for a solution but don't see there is one on the horizon.
