Hi,
we would like to work on drafts within confluence together before we publish the articles to our customer portal.
I have created a couple of drafts and limited the access rights so that only two of my colleagues will be able to edit these pages.
Because of these access rights I thought that they will be able to view my drafts but that is not the case.
Will I always have to share the link to the drafts or is there a different way to make my drafts visible for colleagues who have got the access right to edit these articles?
Currently I have copied the URL as recommended in the documentation (the URL is including "edit") and send this link to my colleagues.
But if the access rights are set, it would be more elegant if I would not have to send the link additionally.
Thank you.
Hi @Alexandra Wolff ,
Welcome to the community !!
You cannot make set of people as who can view your drafts. But, when you are editing a page you can add required users to edit the same page.
i.e. open a page and click edit
On the top right corner add user to invite to edit by clicking on + near your pic.
Hi @Rilwan Ahmed ,
thank you for your answer, we have tried this already. But that means even if I have defined restricted access rights to the drafts I will either have to invite my colleagues or send them the URL to be able to work on the drafts together, is that correct?
Is my understanding right, that there is currently no way to share a draft purely by setting the access rights?
