can't open this url file:// on page in confluence

I put this link on confluence page but not open when i click on it:

file://192.168.1.1/mydirectory/file.pdf

any idea?

Hi, @kohopir975 

If you put a link to file on a page, then you can download file to your PC (directly from network share, not from Confluence) or open it in browser, it depends from browser settings. Clicking on link won't open preview on Confluence page.

need to put this line on page and when i hit it download it.

but seems confluence won't open it!

Yes, that's what I was talking about. Link to file it's not like file, uploaded to Confluence. If you want to open previews on confluence page, you have to upload it to Confluence.
