confluence uat restore from confluence production

Hi all,

 

i have 6.10.1 confluence i want to restore my testing machine from production i have taken the production back up file i dropped into /var/atlassian/application-data/comfleunce/restore/ and from conflunce UI the backup&restore from i did restore it show error like 

 

 

com.atlassian.confluence.importexport.actions.RestoreLocalFileAction.action.name

The following error(s) occurred:

  • No local file specified

 

please help how to do

Hi Mahendar,

The "No local file specified" error most often shows if you did not select the file on the import page. Before clicking the "Restore" button, be sure you have clicked the file so it is highlighted blue.

As a sidenote, the XML backup can be resource intensive, and does not contain a complete backup of all your data (e.g. third-party apps will not be included). Instead, we recommend backing up and migrating data by copying the database and Confluence home directory. For details, see Restoring a Test Instance from Production.

For upgrade we are able to do only XML restoration. Is there any other way for that?
