Synchrony runs on port 8091 by default. If this port is already in use by another application on your server you can use the the synchrony.port system property to change it to an available port.
You need not setup anything else in the server.xml file unless you are using different port other than 8091.

Collaborative Editing (Synchrony) was introduced in Confluence v6.0 onwards. You can enable the Collaborative Editing by going to the cog wheel --> General Configuration from Confluence v6.0 and above.

1.Do we need any additional port for this other than the default confluence port. I'm trying to setup confluence in 8443 in Linux environment.
