Did you mean:

export confluence space from database

Bertrand BARBOT June 22, 2018

hi all, is there a way to export a space from an external database from confluence?

postgresql in this case.

otherwise, doing a dump and export it on a test base for extracting it?

i need to that as xmls is timing out and i cannot do it by tomcat because of networkf security where the confluence is placed.

thank you.

Hi,

You can create a test Confluence instance and copy your installation and home directories on the test server, and import the database dump there. See this link for more information. You can then export the space from the test instance.

Depending on the size, the timeout errors could occur if there’s not enough memory to perform the action.

Do you see any errors in your application logs (located at <confluence-home>/logs) related to the export?  Depending on the error, you can refer this troubleshooting guide

Do let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks,

Neha
