how do I link my knowledge base in confluence to the a jira service desk project

I want to test the search functionality in a test project using a recently completed space in confluence. My only option are Jira, not Jira Service Desk.

Hi Tammy!

It's going to sound like a really silly question, but you have an active help desk in the same cloud account, correct? 

Select System (JIRA) and then enter the name of your help desk project.

Yes, I followed the steps you show but when I go to the portal for the service desk project I am not seeing the content that I expect to see. Should I log completely out of JIRA? Thanks for your help.
