Hello!
When I go into editing mode (by pressing 'e') confluence always jumps to the top of the page and I need to scroll down and find the actual spot.
This is especially annoying on large pages and when I only want to correct a typo.
Atlassian says that this behavior has been changed with version 5.9 and I use version 6.6.2 so it should have been corrected.
Can anyone help me here please? Is there a setting or is it a bug?
Thank you!
After writing atlassian support I was told that the problem relates to firefox and chrome browsers.
I tried editing with safari browser and it works as it should. I will use safari now when I want to do some editing. Until the bug is fixed for the other browsers that is.
With Safari it does not work for me. Add your vote here for Confluence Server https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-57520 and here for Confluence Cloud https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-68857 to get the bug being fixed.

@atlassian This worked well for a long time, I believe starting in 2022 or earlier in Chrome. It is now broken, following one of your recent releases. What did you do, and can you fix it?

this feature works non-consistently for me as well. In 6.14 it doesn’t work for me, while on 6.13 it works on some pages.
Third-party apps could also prevent this feature from working correctly.
You could try a third-party app to help with long pages: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/33286/inplace-editor-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview.

Thank you for answering and the tip for the plugin. Am I seeing it right that it costs money after 30 days?

yes, that app is a paid add-on. You can do a 30 day trial to test it before purchase.
