i work for JOHNSON CONTROLS INDIA PVT LTD and i dont see this working for me as i dont see a save as draft button when i try closing the edited page .can i get some help why this is so ?

You have said you are using Confluence Cloud, but you have been reading documentation for Server/Data-center.
Confluence Cloud does not have a "save draft" option, as it auto-saves.

Instead having the save draft now there is the "Close draft" option that automatically saves your page as a draft without publishing:

Obviously, the downside of this Confluence feature is that you can't work with your drafted content in the view mode (extremely important when drafting product documentation and doing extensive content changes).

Here's the draft, how do you suggest we procede?
I want to be able to toggle between the saved draft and the published version of a page in the View mode.
Draft is saved - and can be displayed in the Edit mode, thus it should not be complicated to display it.

@Bibek Patro If you click Save Draft/Close button (next to blue Publish/Update button) your draft will be saved but the latest changes will not be displayed in the View mode.

but i dont see any of the option like close draft or save draft while im done editing a page
