I was wondering if there was anyway the settings in Confluence could be changed to open links to documents in another tab. At the moment when I click on a hyperlink to a document, the document opens in the same tab.  However if I am using Gliffy, the document opens in another tab.  The preference is for all hyperlinks to open in a new tab.

Hi @Sandra Martin

There's not an option to set a default method and the suggestion for it - CONFSERVER-11194 - was closed as "Won't Fix".

It does suggest an alternative though in the answer from Atlassian, including this free app which might resolve it for you, or this one.

Alternatively you could try these options (one of which is similar to embedding the links as HTML so you can clarify how links open):

See a long discussion on this here.

Let us know if one of these works - if it does, could you accept the answer so other users who locate this question know what to look for? :)
