Has anyone tips or suggestions about if and how you can plan individual resources in JIra.
To explain a bit more. We use Jira for our development teams and that works fine. We use different planning tools for other environments in the company where one specialists works on more projects.
Question is: How can we manage one individual resource and how can we plan his/her capacity taking into account the availability and (part-time / fulltime / holidays).
I'm not interested in plug ins but I want to know what is possible with the functionalities in Jira Premium.
I'm Nataliya from ActivityTimeline team. If you will consider an add-on ActivityTimeline could fits your request.
ActivityTimeline provide a resource planning and availability on a timeline view. You can track tasks progress, workload and availability for each employee taking into consideration the part-time, full time or holidays.
If you have any additional questions please feel free to ask me. We can provide a demo session for you if needed.
Best, Nataliya
Thanks for your suggestion. Does Activitytimeline also interact with the roadmap in Jira standard. in other words: can I still use gantt charts to view my project plan?
thanks

Yes, Roadmap in Jira could be integrated with ActivityTimeline by start and end dates, assignee or team. You can read the details in our documentation.
Also, you can take a free trial to see how it works. For additional questions or help you can write in our support chart.

thanks for your answer. I was primarily looking for an answer within Jira. Including Adv. Roadmaps, but there isn't a solution. So I will look a bit further and will also look at Tempe

if you're not keen on exploring plugins you can try Advanced roadmaps and see if that could help with capacity planning. But I'm afraid it doesn't get very close to the functionality of for example Tempo in terms of individual capacity planning.
