Hi,
We've stumbled upon an issue when creating new How-to articles in Confluence Cloud;
We get an "Unsupported content" error displaying when we create an empty (default content) instance of the How-to template.
What we've seen is that there is a component in the end/bottom of the template called "Details >> Related issues" (not built by us as far as we know) that seems to be the problem. When removing it the article can be published without the error.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Can one edit the templates in the Cloud solution in some way?
Sincerely
//Mikael
Hi there, Mikael.
Thank you for sharing the workaround you implemented that involves the removal of the Related Issues section. Can you please verify specifically which macro you removed?
Since I was unable to reproduce the issue on my end, I would like to get a specific step to assist those who run into the issue and create a bug report for it.
As of now, we only have the following bug report created which addresses the same error but different scenario:
Hi Ahmad,
We removed the above component (the Details component with the Related issues macro). Perhaps it's enough to remove the "Related issues" macro alone but in our case it doesn't make sense.
Sincerely
//Mikael

Hello, Mikael.
Thank you for the clarification on that. I went ahead and shared the solution performed internally with the team for review.
Meanwhile, please let me know if you need any assistance with other matters related to Confluence or other Atlassian products.
