unable to view spaces shortcuts

After extensive research, my +add shortcut option isn't showing up 

I've read this article and still am unable to add links in each of the spaces.

a. I'm the site admin

b. I'm on Confluence Cloud

Could anyone help troubleshoot this for me?

Brian,

Are you referring to the q*******s.atlassian.net instance? I had a look at this and as a Space Admin I am able to add a shortcut when editing the space sidebar.

1. Can you confirm you are indeed a space administrator for the space in question? This is not the same as being a site admin.
2. Confirm that you're not on the overview page of your instance but within a specific space.
3. Confirm that you first clicked the edit icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the space sidebar. This looks like a pencil. Once you click that, you should be able to add the shortcut.

If you're still having issues, please let me know which space you're trying to edit and I can have a look.

I got it.  Thank you so much Shannon!

This worked for me:

1 - Added myself as a space administrator

2 - Found the edit icon (looked like a pencil)
