Hi,
is it possible to recover an Confluence-Installation when only the Database (Microsoft SQL) and the file folders still exist?
Our Confluenceserver crashed and can't be brought back in a bootable state (even with the Veeam backups made).
I can access the Confluence folders via share and the Database is still there.
Hi,
what you exactly mean with "Confluence folders"? Install or data directory or both of them?
If you have data directory, then it's not bad and you cal follow steps defined below (but backup your data first).
I you have database and data folder, then you can download ZIP or TAR.GZ package of Confluence (https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/download)
Then extract it and follow step 1 and 2 in this tutorial (if you are using Windows change by clicking on Windows link) - https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/installing-confluence-on-linux-from-archive-file-255362363.html
From step 3 do only sub-steps 3 and 4.
Then try to start your Confluence instance.
Let me know if it's help or give me more details.
Yeah i have both (install and data).
I'll try your suggestion and let you know, thanks :)

Hi,
its running again, unpacked the archive, modified the config where necessary and had my old folders overwrite the ones from the archive.
Had to run the Installation exe still and doing an upgrade though (looks like I missed the correct Version bit).
After that it started.
Thanks again !
