Is there a quick way I can restrict access to all users (apart from admins) to the whole of Confluence?
I am doing a migration from On-Demand to Download this weekend and want to lock everyone out. I have tonnes of spaces / groups, and it will take me quite a while to go though each of these and restrict access to each space.
Is there a quick way I can restrict access?
Check the "can use" global permission:

Remove everyone ynd you should be fine
An even better answer :-) Many thanks

Hi Steve, I'm not really sure how it works on Confluence, but in Jira if you remove all users from the jira-users group then nobody will have the permissions to access Jira. I'm almost sure it works the same way on Confluence.

I can't quite do that as I have removed rights on all of the spaces for the Confluence Users group and only left rights for a custom group (different per space and based on user departments), however the theory still stands, I just need to remove everyone from all of the groups (after I have backed up for the migration). :-)
