Can I restrict access to the product documentation to only my customers, without having them to login? I don't want it to be available publicly. I know I can setup Anonymous access but that opens the gates for everyone. I will appreciate any suggestions..

If you wan to prevent public access then you need to have a login

You could create a generic customer login to save having to create personal accounts - but then that login could be used by anyone at any time so it will devolve into a public access ...

Login also means that the person is now "inside the system" - that is good that you can see what is being done by whom - except if it is a generic login, but it does mean they are "inside" the system which may be bad, but you can manage it with perhaps a generic customer login where you change the password every 6 months ...
