I have an external vendor, who I want to give access to my Confluence space, but only to a small set of around 5 pages.  Is there a way to give this type of access without going through my entire space and restricting them from all the pages I don't want them to see?

You have two options:

1. Move those page(s) to a separate space and give your vendor access to that new space only.

2. Allow them access to specific pages in the space and restrict all other pages from their view.

I hope that helps.

Alternative method of your vendor only needs reading of those pages. Is make special space  making the space inherited accesses for that vendor -- where they have read access and do page macros to include your original pages on the new pages.

the new sub pages will inherit the permissions on the new space.
