Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to create Viewports for selected pages within a space? I played around a bit and tried to get it from the docs but it seem only be possible to create Viewports from whole spaces. Am I missing something?
Cheers,
Christian
Hi Christian,
Currently, Viewport doesn't support different themes per page. You can only define a theme per space.
Would you like to create a landing page that looks different from the rest of pages, or you would like to have a Viewport only on one page, but not on any others in this space? Would be great if you could share your use case.
Cheers,
Roman.
Hi Roman,
our requirement would be creating a Viewport only for selected pages (one or more) from a single space.

Christian

Hi Christian,
Unfortunately, this is not supported by Scroll Viewport. Themes are defined on a per space basis.

Hi Roman,
what do think? Does my request make any sense or did I miss something related to the core features of Viewport. Could my request maybe achieved in combination with other (scroll) plugins? If you think it makes sense I can open a feature request in your eco-system...

Christian

Hi Christian,
it would be great to understand why you would like such feature. What is moving you wanting to have a Viewport-styled page, but not the whole space? If you could tell the underlying reason of why you want to achieve this, I could create a feature request for you.
However, Viewport's functionality to have a custom design across the whole space is one of the core feature of transforming a certain Confluence space into a full-blown website (www.k15t.com, for example), so I wouldn't expect the ability to have a Viewport for selected pages to be implemented anytime soon.
Cheers,
Roman.

Hi Roman,
i will have a call next Friday with Nils regarding my Scroll Versions related question. Maybe we can talk as well for further clarification? I will update this question with relevant information later on...
Cheers,
Christian

I was actually wondering this same thing for the reason that Roman suggested, which is creating a landing page that is different from the other pages. In my case, I think it would be nice to be able to have a splash page that has an emphasis on graphics with links to project pages where a different theme focussed more on content and a sidebar.
