Search and Labels

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: How do I understand the ranking of Confluence's Search Results

HI, I read the ranking article. I didn't see any mentioning of the labels in this article. Does it mean that the labels are not playing a role in the ranking? Are labels indexed and used by the search engine?

Labels are just used for searching purpose its a some kind of custom field
